Copa de Manila- Winford Manila Hotel & Casino

We stayed overnight at Winford Manila Hotel & Casino. It is affordable hotel in Manila. It is not located in the airport vicinity but manageable. The price is also cheaper especially if you the deal in the booking sits online.

More of the Winford Manila Hotel & Casino experience in the other blog. Please follow the link.

As part of the experience of checking in the Winford Manila Hotel & Casino is trying out their room service menu.

The room service dining is managed by Copa de Manila. It is also the restaurant which serves the breakfast buffet.

Here is the room service dining menu:

We ordered the Beef Tapa Filipino Breakfast (Php236).

The meal comes with two eggs the way you like it, one cup of garlic or plain rice, and drinks (juice, coffee, or tea).

We chose juice, plain rice, and two sunny side up eggs.

Verdict:

The tapa was on the buttery side. It was too much for my taste if you plan to eat it without rice. Dipping the beef tapa in vinegar is the solution to tame the buttery taste.

Eggs were okay. It tastes normal and nothing special about it.

Second order was Pork Steak with Gravy.

The order includes mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables.

Verdict:

The mashed potatoes served was really good. It had the right amount of melt-in-your-mouth goodness.

The pork steak was not tender though. This may depend as we tried the same meal ordered a day before and it was great.

So if you're lazy to go out, the room-in dining service is worth a try. The orders may be a hit and miss. Based on my review, maybe you can instruct them how you want your order cooked, so that it doesn't end up as a buttery tapa or stiff pork steak.
